Emergency services in attendance as van catches fire next to school

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service have been called to Larkfield Lane after a van caught fire.

Witnesses heard a large bang in the area just after 3pm this afternoon.

OTS News understands that the flatbed truck belonged to a local landscaping firm and was carrying Christmas trees.

No-one is believed to have been hurt in the incident.

Significant traffic disruption remains in the Larkfield Lane area, particularly given school collections from Crossens Nursery and Larkfield Primary.
