Furious patients and their families say enough is enough over parking at Southport hospital.
Visitors are threatening a total boycott and say they will park elsewhere and walk in to spite UKPC parking who run the rule over the town lane site.
One man says he was given a parking ticket after parking in a pay the firm claim was disabled.
Despite the man’s protests he has been hit with an £80 fine.
Ed Mawdsley said “I sent an appeal with a full explanation as to what the circumstances were and then received a reply asking for my full name so appeal could be considered.”
“This was an error under extreme pressure on the day and saying I took photo after receiving ticket showing poor markings and water.
“Even the parking ticket issuing officer agreed with me as he said he keeps asking for lines to be repainted. I Finally got a reply today to say my appeal is not accepted and must pay reduced amount of £40 or it goes to £80.00 after 35 days.
I am Fuming to say the least.”
