Driver wedges his car in between Shopping Park bollards

A motorist has been left red faced and facing humiliation after somehow getting his car stuck in the wooden barriers at Meols Cop Retail Park.

Police officers were alerted to the incident but said they could not do anything after the driver took a wrong turn and ended up jamming their car in between the wooden posts near to the former Homebase site on Meols Cop Retail Park.

The driver will now have to wait for a recovery team to come and remove the car, however site managers say they are reluctant to allow them to cut through the wooden barriers.

If they aren’t allowed, lifting equipment will have to be called in
