Driver taken to hospital after falling ill at the wheel on Marine Drive Southport

A motorist was taken to hospital after falling ill at the wheel on Marine Drive Southport this evening, Wednesday 4 April 2016

Emergency services were called to a ‘medical incident’ between Hesketh Drive and Marshside Road, Southport

A witness reported:  “A driver experienced a temporary medical condition – vehicle stopped in the grass verge, driver treated in ambulance then taken to hospital as a precaution.”
