Driver racing down Lord Street arrested after crashing into bus stop A BMW driver that was racing down Lord Street, Southport was arrested after losing control and crashing into bus stop.11:10pm on Saturday evening (7 January 2017). A witness reported, “two cars were racing down Lord Street before the black BMW 3 series  lost control and crashed into the bus stop near to the monument” “The other vehicle left the scene at speed in the direction of Birkdale.
