Police and paramedics rushed to the scene of another smash outside the Texaco garage on Portland Street, Southport Friday 19 April 2019.
The incident happened at around 10pm, Witnesses at the scene told our reporter that male driver ran off from the scene.
Police, ambulance and fire service all attended and closed off the junction.
The condition of the injured motorist is not known at the present time.
An update from Merseyside police is expected shortly.
