Downsizers find winning combination at St Peter’s Park

High specification and low energy bills are proving a winning combination for buyers at a Jones Homes development in Mawdesley.

Five homes have already been reserved at St Peter’s Park, a collection of four and five-bedroom detached houses off Gorsey Lane, where buyers can move in for Easter.

The highly desirable village location is proving to be particularly popular with purchasers moving from older and larger properties, many of whom have been attracted by the convenience and energy efficiency of these new build homes.

Research by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) has found that homeowners can save £629 a year on their energy bills by moving to a new build house compared to a similar sized Victorian home.

Each home at the development features a very high specification, with oak veneer doors, all flooring, an integrated sound system, quality fitted kitchen with soft closing doors, integrated appliances and solid quartz worktops, Villeroy and Boch bathroom sanitaryware and fully tiled walls selected from the Porcelanosa range. A number of south-facing homes at St Peter’s Park also feature solar panels as standard.

Carol Barlow, Sales Director for Jones Homes Lancashire said: “There’s a common misconception that downsizing means downgrading your home. At St Peter’s Park, nothing could be further from the truth.

“Homes at the development are not only modern and energy efficient but also boast an extremely high specification, and that is an appealing combination to people looking to downsize.

“New build homes offer many advantages over older properties, such as high energy efficiency, lower energy bills and lower maintenance requirements, all of which is true at St Peter’s Park. On top of this, buyers who purchase a south-facing plot will be able to use solar energy to power their home, providing an additional cost-saving.

“A four-bedroom show home is now open at St Peter’s Park and I would encourage downsizers looking for a combination of convenience, luxury and energy efficiency to come and visit to see for themselves what the development has to offer.”

Jones Homes is building a total of 56 homes at St Peter’s Park, which is located on the former site of Goodyear furniture, off Gorsey Lane.

A selection of four and five-bedroom homes are currently available, with prices starting from £397,995. For more information, call 01704 776339 or visit jones-homes.co.uk
