Dogged criminal abandons pooches in quick escape
MAN on the run man who’s wanted by police for criminal damage has cruelly abandoned his two dogs in Crossens.
Police officers were tasked with searching the area of Crossens Way yesterday evening (Wednesday 16 August) and this morning on the hunt for a man wanted for an offence of criminal damage and wanted on a Crown Court warrant.
He has not been located. However after fleeing from police it was discovered that he left behind two small dogs, left to fend for themselves while their cruel owner gave up on them.
The dogs were rescued by officers and are currently being looked after by a kind hearted member of the community.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “A vehicle at the scene was removed as it was suspected to be stolen”
“The caravan was removed as it was causing an obstruction.
“2 dogs were removed for their safety.”
