Police and insurance officials are hunting a driver of a grey car which will have suffered serious damage after colliding with other parked cars in Southport.
Unfortunately little is currently known about the offender or his vehicle after incorrect details were left at the scene of the accident on Bankfield Lane in Southport near to Botanic Gardens.
The crash, which left two parked cars needing expensive repairs, happened on Wednesday September 16th around 4pm.
One of the cars that was seriously damaged belonged to Southport resident Rebecca Smith, who has now launched an appeal for witnesses to help her track down the offending motorist.
Rebecca said “On Wednesday 16th around 4pm, I was parked outside botanic gardens on Bankfield Lane. A car passing drove into 2 parked cars. Mine was one of them & it’s done extensive damage.
“There were a number of witness & I was left a registration number but it turns out to be incorrect.
“Can you appeal for witnesses or if someone knows the driver to come forward. They will have damage to the passenger side of their car & i was told it was a grey car.”
