A Southport woman who was recently rushed to hospital needing life saving emergency treatment has thanked staff at Southport hospital for saving her life.

Wendy Miller from Churchtown has thanked doctors and surgeons at Southport & Formby NHS trust for performing life saving surgery on her last month.

she said “I was recently a patient in Southport and Formby District General Hospital.

May I say a massive ‘thank You’ to Mr Artiouleh and Mr Gerrard for the Emer- gency Life Saving Surgery they performed on me. Also to ITU, HDU and the ‘tissue team’.

When I was transferred onto Ward 10B I was lovingly cared for by all the wonderful Nurses. Day and night nothing was too much trouble for them.

The standard of care was superb as were the hygiene levels.

You are all a credit to our hospital.

I am now on the road to recovery and cared for by Churchtown district nurses”
