Doctors in Southport have told patients not to bother them with panicked vaccine enquiries after a letter was issued to vulnerable residents in the town.
Patients at St Mark’s Medical Centre in Southport were told today not to pester staff at the town centre clinic because they were being ‘inundated with queries.’
Other surgeries also sent out similar messages as confusion began to set in following receipt of the letters.
A spokesperson for the GP surgery said “We understand that people will be keen to know when they will receive their COVID vaccine.
“Each of us will receive an invite when it is our turn.
“Some of you may have received a letter inviting you to arrange an appointment at a mass vaccination centre.
“We please ask that you do not contact us regarding this letter as we are getting inundated with queries.”
A letter has been sent out to vulnerable residents regarding mass vaccination centres and the growing queues for the COVID-19 jab.
