Dobbie’s staff in Southport have learnt today they will not be one of 17 UK stores closing in a bid to save the business.
The Scotland based retailer said the Bentham’s Way garden centre would remain open as one of 60 stores saved from a closure plan.
More than 400 staff will lose their jobs at 17 garden centres around the UK.
The retailer said they had ceased being profitable.
