Free internet taster sessions are once again taking place across Sefton to help more people get online.
Sefton Library Service is joining the UK’s biggest digital inclusion campaign called ‘Get Online Week’ which runs from 12-17 October.
Each library across the borough will hold sessions during the week, supporting people by either getting online for the first time or just updating their digital skills.
The taster events are aimed at beginners or people with limited computer experience to help them discover how they can get the best out of the internet.
Sessions are free but places are limited and advanced booking is essential. Details of times and dates for the ‘tasters’ to be held in our libraries are available below.
Libraries will also continue to support digital learning for Sefton residents after Get Online week has ended.
Cllr Trish Hardy, Cabinet Member Communities and Housing, said: “It doesn’t matter if you’ve never even touched a computer before or just know a little bit, please come along and give it a go. We want people to spend an enjoyable hour or so, learning how to get the best out of the internet. To have online skills is becoming increasingly important in our society.”
To book a place during Get Online week, or to enquire about learning new digital skills, please visit or telephone your local library.
