Mr Hamilton was reported today in national nespapers as lashing out at party insiders over a “dirty tricks” campaign being run against him.
The former Tory minister’s tirade against the “cancer at the heart of Ukip” came after a letter from the party’s finance committee about his expenses claims was leaked.
Mr Hamilton called for the party’s national executive committee (NEC) to take action against those involved in the “black arts of selective briefing, misrepresentation and outright lies”.

Hamilton lost his seat, Tatton in Cheshire, to Martin Bell in 1997 after the cash-for-questions affair, when a jury decided he accepted payments from Mobil Oil in exchange for support in Parliament. He publicly battled Harrods owner Mohamed Fayed, who insisted Hamilton accepted money in brown envelopes in exchange for influence. Hamilton sued, lost and went bankrupt.
You can meet Neil and his Reality TV star dragon-like wife Christine at the Metropole Hotel, Portland Street, Southport on April 15th between 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm
If you bring your own brown envelopes you will not need to use them as sick-bags as the food at the Metropole is marvellous!
