Woodlands are desperately seeking a new home for a terminal cat.
Oliver is a very handsome two-and-a-half-year-old neutered male and has been at Woodlands since the 12th of June 2017 as he could not cope with the stressful environment in his previous home.
When Woodlands Animal Sanctuary accepted Oliver for rehoming, it was mentioned that he had had a heart scan 12 months previously, but that this was nothing to worry about.
However, unfortunately during the vet check every new cat goes through when they come to Woodlands a severe heart murmur was discovered.
Oliver was therefore immediately booked in for the next available heart scan, at great expense to the charity, and sadly the news has not been good. Oliver’s heart problem is even worse than Jiggly’s and the vets have confirmed that they consider him to be terminally ill. Unfortunately, there is no way to know how long Oliver has left.”
Oliver is a lovely, affectionate and handsome young cat who besides his heart problem is in good health, and it is for this reason that Woodlands are seeking a long term foster carer where he can live out his days peacefully. This means that Oliver will live with his new foster family for the rest of his life – as long as that may be, but with the support of the charity.
As with Jiggly, Oliver will need medication for his condition and all medical expenses related to his heart problem will be covered by Woodlands Animal Sanctuary.
Oliver will need someone in his life who can give him a small tablet daily, which the staff at Woodlands can show you how to do, and otherwise he requires the same amount of love and affection as any other cat.
Oliver will need to be a house cat and there must be no other pets or any young children in the home environment.
