Delays on Southport-Liverpool line after deer spotted on tracks

Services on Merseyrail’s Southport to Hunts Cross line are experiencing small delays due to deer spotted on the track at Hall Road station.

Merseyrail said: “Due to deer on the line in the Hall Road area- Services on our Southport line are currently meeting with slight delay.”

Several services have been cancelled or run “semi-fast” meaning that certain stops are excluded until the timetable can reset back to normal after delays.
