Hundreds of depressed drivers have found themselves once again stuck in seemingly endless roadworks in Southport.
Work has continued running way over schedule on Scarisbrick New Road in Southport bringing the usually busy main road to all but a standstill at the junction near to Ash Street.
It’s the second time in a year the road has been subject to excruciatingly long delays.
Single lane temporary lights near Ash Street junction mean journey times are being extended by ten minutes at least and drivers are quickly getting fed up while the works are reportedly weeks behind schedule because of Coronavirus.
