Decorated war hero brutally attacked outside home in broad daylight

1st May 2019

A decorated war hero and popular care home owner has been brutally assaulted outside his home by three youths.

Jonathan Cunningham MBE was attacked outside Rosebank Care Home in Southport just after 3pm in a random attack after Jonathan had asked them to stop their anti social behaviour.

The hunt is now on to identify them.
Jonathan said: “These 3 youths, 2 males and 1 female are seen in the video clip approaching the care home. One male seen in the video is seen sneaking around the back until we spotted him! I went to the front of the building and stopped the female from continuing to cycle up the disabled ramp. She refused to leave. The larger youth with blonde hair, blue padded jacket with yellow inner can be seen shoving me then smashed my NWAS First Responder pager on the floor.

Do you know who they are as they must be very local? The female aged 16+ has reddy/brown hair quite long past her shoulders held back in a pony tale. They have threatened to return. Our residents saw the whole episode from the lounge and it was upsetting for them.

Let’s bring them to court for criminal damage. It’s time to regain our streets!“

The police have been informed.
