Dangerous tree: Sandringham Road, Ainsdale

14th June 2018

In these times of excessive developments and profiteering we (and the wildlife) all need many more trees, not less.

However, the council has a duty to remove dead and dangerous specimens that threaten human health and safely.

Following recent gusts of wind branches have started to fall onto the footpath and road from a large, long-dead, tree down Sandringham Road in Ainsdale.

Hopefully no one was under this branch when it fell from some height last night.

Councils are forever eager to destroy much-loved and healthy woodlands for profit, yet seem rather inconsistent when real dangers on our streets like this one are overlooked.

Residents are advised to take great care when walking under this dead tree, especially when it’s windy.
