Dangerous Formby bypass becomes icy road to hell

A hail storm and freezing temperatures have made Formby bypass into a dangerous hazard.

Ice and hail have transformed the busy dual carriageway tonight into an ‘icy road to hell’ say fearful motorists.

One driver who shared their ordeal with OTS news said cars had to slow to a crawl to get their vehicles under control.

“There’s no grit at all” they said

“There has been a hail storm and it’s freezing but there’s no grit on the road and cars are sliding all over the place.

“The council should be ashamed. People could be seriously injured.”
