Trish Armstrong-Child MBE, currently Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Nursing at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, has been announced as the new Chief Executive of the Southport & Ormskirk Trust, following the departure of Silas Nicholls.
Damien had a close working relationship with Silas, which he hopes to continue with Trish, both in the interest of local residents and surrounding communities.
Speaking on the appointment, Damien Moore MP said:
“I am delighted to welcome the announcement of Trish Armstrong-Child MBE as the Hospital’s new Chief Executive.”
“She has shown a strong track record of achievement in her current role as Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Nursing in Bolton, and I hope that she will bring that expertise and strong leadership to Southport and deliver a quality service for local residents.”
“Given the numerous appointments in recent years, I believe it’s imperative Southport has a Chief Executive who will oversee the progression of the hospital for the long-term future and I look forward to meeting with Trish to ensure Southport Hospital has a bright future.
“I would like to put on record my thanks to Silas for all of the work he has done for our town.”
