The People-Power Index should be viewed as a health check of how Parliament is working and how our MPs are listening to and engaging with, their constituents.
Southport’s MP came in at a pitiful 611 out of 650 MPs.
The intention of this Index is to spark a conversation about what it means to be a “good” MP. It should be used to celebrate MPs who are the most open and responsive to their constituents and inspire future MPs. We know that MPs work under intense pressure to bring together many varying views in their constituency and the party they were elected with or are affiliated to.

Can this dismissive MP blame anyone but himself for his poor result?
Damien Moore has been accused of “heavy-handed censorship” after blocking his own constituents from his social media accounts and deleting their comments.
The MP has also been criticised for his unpopular stance in support of Universal Credit.
The Conservative politician’s behaviour was described as “very unimpressive” after repeated reports of residents being blocked from his Twitter account or their posts on his Facebook page being deleted and then prevented from making further comment.
