Damien Leads All Male Tory Approach to voting

Southport’s Conservative MP Damien Moore is spearheading a new approach to the town’s politics. In a glossy leaflet distributed in a local free Newspaper just before nominations close for candidates for the Council, Damien is photographed full page heading up an all male campaign team.

This approach could yield dividends with the votes of the growing ex-patriate Saudi and Somali community in Southport in May’s council elections.

Conservatives have not had any female councillors elected in Southport since the late Pat Ball  was voted in in Dukes Ward in 2011. The picture above suggests that they may have abandoned their hopes to find a new Brenda Porter.
