As the COVID-19 virus peaks over the coming weeks, support will be needed to provide help to our residents and in particular vulnerable people and those who are having to self-isolate.
Please note Sefton CVS will be monitoring and responding to daily Government advice as the situation evolves in the coming weeks, so changes may be made to this page and contact form.
The Sefton COVID-19 Response Programme is a borough-wide volunteer programme operating across Sefton, to ensure systems are in place to care for people and communities during the COVID-19 outbreak. The programme is coordinated by Sefton Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) – a registered charity, working all year round to support a thriving voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector in Sefton, in partnership with Sefton Council.
A coordinated effort is important to ensure that the most vulnerable people receive help and that all volunteers and recipients of support are safe. If you’re healthy and low risk, you can sign-up on the contact form below to become a Sefton COVID-19 Response Volunteer and help others in Sefton.
The programme is designed so that people can sign-up to volunteer in a range of different roles, depending on availability and preference. Volunteers can sign-up to offer practical support for vulnerable people (such as shopping deliveries, preparing meals, making check-in phone calls) or can sign-up as an informal volunteer to help within their own neighbourhood in more general ways.
Once the form below has been completed, our team will be in touch to discuss your role and match you with opportunities to help.
Thank you for your support.
Please be aware that the information we hold will be stored specifically for the volunteer response to COVID-19, in line with the Sefton CVS GDPR policy.

Sefton Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) is a registered charity working all year round to support a thriving voluntary, community and faith sector in Sefton. During the COVID-19 outbreak, we are supporting Sefton Council to help ensure systems are in place to care for people and communities.
The response from Sefton residents to support others in their community has been outstanding so far, but a coordinated effort is important to ensure the most vulnerable people get help. If you’re healthy and at low-risk (see NHS guidelines here:
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/), you can sign up here to become a Sefton COVID-19 Response Volunteer and help others in Sefton.
The purpose of this form is to collect your contact details so we can match volunteers with service gaps and people in need and engage your support as a volunteer wherever possible.
We are currently working with voluntary sector organisations to determine where they may need volunteers to assist them in their Covid-19 response.
We ask for your email address, phone number, name and postcode, along with some details about the support you would like to offer. We will store this information specifically for the volunteer response for COVID-19, in line with the Sefton CVS GDPR policy.
