A Southport couple have been treated for knife wounds in hospital after both being stabbed in a horrific home invasion.
Matthew Lawrenson and his wife were attacked at knifepoint after four masked men broke into their home on Thursday night (February 13th)
The man, 26, suffered a puncture wound to his face when the men forced their way into the property on Arbour Street, Southport. A 24-year-old woman was stabbed in the arm and both were taken to hospital for treatment.
The break in happened at around 8.25pm on Thursday and a police investigation is now underway to find those responsible.
One of the men involved is described as white, approximately 18-year-old, 5ft 6in tall and of slim build. All four males had their faces covered.
Detective Chief Inspector Gayle Rooney said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Arbour Street area last night who saw anyone or anything suspicious to contact us.
