Plans have been revealed to ‘restore to glory’ a disused Grade II listed school building in Southport. Octopus Healthcare Group hopes to create a multi-million pound development of up to 120 extra care apartments and associ- ated facilities including a bistro, residents’ lounge, library and hair and beauty salon at the former Birkdale School for Hearing Impaired Children on Lancaster Road.
