The Jewish congregation in Southport have been left shocked and upset by the amount of nazi swastikas popping up around town.
One resident reported how he was mortified when he discovered that stickers of an anti-semitic nature had been placed on a bus stop on Eastbank Street; and at traffic lights on Haig Avenue.
It was also reported that a nazi swastika was painted on a wall near to the Jewish Synagogue on Arnside Road.
A report to the Southport Area Committee said: “When we found out about this contact was made immediately with the Cleansing Services Manager. The offending material was removed the next morning.”
