Cost of living crisis forces Rueter’s bar closure

Sky rocketing bills and a lack of financial support have forced the closure of a popular town centre bar and grill.

Rueter’s on Hoghton Street will serve its last meals on May 29th before closing its doors, seemingly for good, say it’s current owners.

In an emotional post to the bar and grill’s Facebook page, the owners said “It’s with great sadness we have to confirm some of the ‘rumours’ that we will be closing down at the close of business on Sunday 29th May..

“Unfortunately due to increased costs and so much uncertainty we have fallen victim to the cost of living crisis..

“I am proud to have such an amazing team working with me here, and we are all working together through our final weeks to support each other.”
