Two unidentified shops in Southport are no longer allowed to sell knives after they were caught selling the blades to underage children.
Southport Neighbourhood Police Officers used a youngster to pose as a customer wanting to buy a blade or knife from five different shops in Southport and Formby.
While three shops passed the test, two were found to have completed the transaction to an under age customer.
They have now been told they are no longer allowed to sell knives or other blades objects.
The legal age is 18 and identity checks must be carried out by all shop workers when it comes to the sale of knives and bladed objects.
