Police officers from Lancashire Constabulary say they are keeping an eye out for any coronavirus restriction rule breakers at Edge Hill University amidst the start of a new year.
Rowdy Uni students across the country have had what would have been their first taste of Freshers completely knocked on the head after new national rules came into force around social gatherings and early pub closures.
Officers from Lancashire Police announced that as well as their usual duties, they have been patrolling the main Edge Hill campus to try and catch out any rule breakers.
On their most recent visit police officers were delighted to find that all students appeared to be adhering to the rules and staying safe.
Police are expected to keep a tight watch on Edge Hill students over the coming months to ensure a needless local outbreak is avoided.
