Contractors have today started digging up and once again laying sections of Lord Street, only five months after being laid.
Earlier this month multiple potholes appeared on the iconic road.
Sefton council controversially ripped up the iconic Lord Street’s red tarmac and replaced it with black the cheapest option last year.
Sefton Council ripped up the iconic red road because it was in a dangerous condition and needed to be replaced.
After numerous protests and petitions from local councillors the Council decided to go for the cheaper option of black tarmac.
This tarmac is now starting to crack up and pot holes are forming near to the junction of Eastbank Street.
