ALL STAR WRESTLING
Southport Theatre’s Floral Hall Friday 20th February, 7.30pm
Gangrel here as All Star move into year 45!
ALL STAR Wrestling promise an explosive opening to their 45th year of promotions with an big international clash featuring sabre toothed ‘Vampire Warrior’ Gangrel in a programme at the Floral Hall, Southport, on Friday February 20 when the action begins at 7.30pm.
Since small beginnings in 1970 with a very first bill at Marple in Cheshire, All Star founder Brian Dixon has never looked back and regularly moved to stay ahead of the game with presentations reflecting the American influences of recent times while maintaining all the tried and tested features of traditional British-style wrestling.
Gangrel, a star with both WWF and its more recent successor WWE through two decades, takes his place alongside Thunder, the 20 stones metal masked marauder who defeated Dean Allmark to become Superslam Championship holder back at the end of November.
Thunder, from Leamington Spa, and the son of ‘World of Sport’ era heavyweight campaigner Tony ‘Banger’ Walsh, is determined to maintain his momentum in a tag clash with Devon-born heavyweight Oliver Grey who was the stand-out star of last summer’s All Star events when returning after a two year stint with the WWE’s NXT division in the United States. And, just to add to the ‘needle,’ Grey will be partnered by Wirral-based Dean Allmark!
Southport fans can also look forward to seeing German contenders Adrian Severe from Munich and Hannover-based Hans Hoffman along with Bolton’s returning star Ben Levy and livewire north east action man Tony Spitfire. There will also be top girls action with Kay Lee Ray, the fiery haired Scottish lass who went to the USA to face Gail Kim in the finals of the TNA Boot Camp series, taking on the colourful Chardonnay.
YOUNG FANS can show support for their wrestling favourites by making and bringing banners to All Star Wrestling’s next local presentation when the best efforts will receive special prizes including free tickets for future local events.
Top campaigner Dean Allmark, who is set appear in one of the featured contests, will decide the best banners with the children who made them invited to the ring to receive their prizes before having an opportunity to meet some of their favourite stars.
Tickets, including a special £45 family offer covering two adults and two children are now on sale at the Floral Hall box office, telephone 01704-500036.
