Commuter caught short stains station with human excrement

Rail passengers at Meols Cop got more than they expected this evening after finding human excrement spread over the platform.

Shocked commuters waiting for the 17:44 train from Meols Cop to Manchester were left aghast after they discovered human excrement spread across one of the platform shelters after a fellow passenger was caught short.

Northern Rail bosses said they were disgusted by the discovery but would have to close off the shelter rather than clean it due to a lack of staff.
