Community cinema plans post lockdown curtain raiser classic

A popular community cinema is reopening its doors for the first time in months.

While leisure centres theatres and cinemas across the country are still in limbo regarding when they can reopen, the owners of Bijou Cinema on Post Office Avenue say they will reopen on July 4th.

A spokesperson for the cinema said “Southport Bijou Cinema on Post Office Avenue opens on Saturday 4 July at 7.30pm with Patrick Swayze in ‘Dirty Dancing’.

“There is limited seating with booking online.
