Cold weather shelter open for SOUTHPORT homeless tonight

Due to the cold weather forecasts, this service will be open again tonight, from 10:00PM to 07:00AM Wednesday 23rd, and the following nights if temperatures continues to stay low.

When the centre is open it will be advertised at SOUTHPORT HOUSING CENTRE on Eastbank Street and at the TOWN HALL on LordStreet.

This service is available to those who are unable to use the sit up services available for some reason. Individuals found sleeping on the streets in toilets, doorways or tents can use this service should they wish.

Local Policing Team Officers and outreach workers have been making anyone found begging or sleeping rough have been told about the service. Please feel free to pass this information on to anyone you yourself see on the streets in this cold weather.

The Cold Weather Shelter is operated by Light For Life as part of their ‘Streetseen’ service.
