Coastal Road | Long delays after driver crashes through pedestrian safety posts

A car has smashed into wooden bollards near Pontins in Ainsdale frustrating motorists during today’s rush hour, Friday 12 October 2018.

The Hyundai collided with a wooden pillar which separates the roadside from the sand dunes after the driver lost control and veered off the road.

Police and emergency services were called and assisted while the driver was treated for minor injuries and shock.

The car is still on the side of the road this evening whilst it awaited recovery.
