Coastal road closed after cyclist injured in collision

Police have closed off the coast road after a cyclist was hit and left severely injured.

The accident happened near to the RSPB nature reserve shortly after 2pm this afternoon and police and paramedics rushed to the scene.

Police closed the road off while paramedics treated the cyclist for serious injuries at the scene before transferring them to hospital.

The road will remain closed while an investigation takes place
