The Co-op Local Community Fund raises £5881.13 for the Southport Lifeboat

The Co-op Local Community Fund in the Southport and Banks area has raised £5881.13 towards a new lifeboat house for the Southport Offshore Rescue Trust.

The funds were raised by the sale of reusable carrier bags and 1% of member’s purchases of Co-op branded products being donated to the charity.

For the past six months the Southport stores raised £4,759.36 and the Banks store raised £1,121.77. The Charity also featured in the Co-op’s Christmas advert.

The Southport Independent Lifeboat are one of 4,000 causes across the UK who’ve benefitted from the Local Community Fund so far.
