Civic Society slammed for reporting harmless shop sign

Heartless civic society members in Birkdale have left a popular shop owner in tears after ‘grassing’ her up to the council for her shop sign.

The beautiful and eye catching sign above The Brides Room in Birkdale Village is harming the character of the village according to the society and they have reported the owner to the council.

The heartless act has been met with no sympathy by fellow business owners and shoppers who have said Birkdale Civic Society should be shut down.

Bridal Room owners said “why on earth should I need permission for my sign when other shops in the village are red, turquoise, yellow, purple and more!

“ I’m feeling very singled out that I should now have to change my sign to black when everyone else is allowed to do their own thing.”
