Cheshire Lines cause fury with 10am booze sale

6th August 2019

The popular Cheshire Lines pub has angered locals by seeking permission to sell alcohol from 10am and outside in their new garden.

Despite nearby Wetherspoons having done the same for years, the cosy King Street pub have been slammed by residents who say it will now become a place of bad behaviour.

One furious man said parts of his house were already ‘rendered uninhabitable’ because of karaoke at weekends and sometimes during the week – and that he is often unable to open his windows.

His letter went on to say customers sitting at the front of the pub can often get loud, ‘even raucous’, and that people often leave the pub in a ‘boisterous manner’.

Despite these complaints the council have given the green light for the licence changes
