Charity Yoga event at Birkdale high (Saturday 27 June)

‘Namaste Nepal Yogafest’ is taking place on Saturday 27th June 9.30am-12.30pm at Birkdale High School, Southport. Everybody is welcome, even if you’ve never tried yoga before! It’s for fun and to raise much needed funds.

“Having lived and worked in Nepal for several years, I desperately wanted to do something to raise as much money and awareness for the survivors of the recent and ongoing earthquakes. Being very keen on practising yoga, I decided to create a huge event”. 

We have 5 fantastic instructors to lead us through our morning of 3 hours of Yoga- Rebecca Morley, Tracey Lysaght, Yvonne Hill, Jane Gallagher and Andrea Gatrill. 

There will be lots of Yoga & Health related stalls from local independent companies. 

Be Yoga of Crosby are offering a free children’s workshop to run alongside the event for 4-12yrs, with yoga, gratitude jars, mandala colouring, face painting and lots of other activities too.

Free goody bags sponsored by Coco Vita and Bounce Energy Balls to each participant. Raffle with fantastic yoga workshop, yoga sessions, beauty treatments and other lovely treats as prizes. There is also the chance to win a magnum of Moët just for coming along!

We are raising money for The Mandala Organization, Disaster Help Foundation Nepal. This is to fund the building of 35 houses initially, in the worst hit area of Sindupaluchowk and Kodari. Seven villages have been identified as having 95% or more devastation of homes. The aim is to build 35 houses, 5 houses in each village. If we raise enough money, we can build more!
