The St Vincent de Paul Society are hosting a Children’s Pantomime for 150 disadvantaged and disabled children a few days before Christmas – and are appealing for donations to help them reach their £1,200 fundraising target in time.
Beauty and the Beast will be held at 1pm on Saturday, December 21 at St John Stone Parish Club in Ainsdale.
Maggie Sixsmith from the society said: “Some children never get the opportunity at Christmas to experience live theatre and so we have enlisted the services of a touring children’s pantomime company, whose may years of experience in this field has taught them just what children want.
“This year we feel that the ultimate festive treat would be Beauty and the Beast, hailed as the greatest fairy tale of all time.
