Cemetery road gridlock after three vehicle crash

A major through road connecting Southport and Birkdale is at a standstill after three vehicles smashed into each other, Wednesday 17 October 2018.

Cemetery road at the junction of Boundary Street is now gridlocked after a three vehicle crash.

Fire crews and paramedics were called to the scene after a van, a Hyundai, Peugeot and a van collided near to a zebra crossing just before 8.30 am.

Emergency services are asking drivers to avoid the area while a clean up operation takes place.
