Care home residents treated to town hall tour

CARE home residents were given a special tour of Bootle Town Hall after being invited by the Mayor of Sefton.

Elderly ladies from Woodlands Lodge, in Formby, and Parklands Lodge, in Southport, enjoyed the trip where they were given a tour of the building.

They were then treated to afternoon tea when the Mayor of Sefton, Cllr Dave Robinson, and Mayoress, Wendy Robinson spoke about the history of the Town Hall.

Woodlands Lodge activity coordinator Jan Moorhouse said: “I was really impressed with the gracious welcome from the Mayor and Mayoress and the knowledge of the Mayor’s history of Bootle Town Hall. It was a most enjoyable after- noon for all to remember for a very long time.”

Both Woodlands Lodge and Parklands Lodge are managed by Athena Health Care Group.
