Car ends up in garden after crash in Southport

Police and emergency services are in attendance at a known accident blackspot on Sussex Road.

Two cars collided with each other shortly before 2pm on the notorious stretch of road.
A garden wall was also damaged in the crash and officers are thought to have breathalysed one driver a the scene.

Paramedics were also called to treat a number of people for minor injuries and shock following the crash.

Officers are now investigating to find out the cause of the collision but OTS understands that poor road conditions made worse by the rain led to one car spinning out of control.
