Car crashes and comes to a stop in New Cut Lane field

Rescue crews are working to remove a family car that skidded off  and ended up trapped in a deep muddy field this morning.

The black hatch back came spinning off New Cut Lane after the driver lost control of the vehicle and spun off into the deep mud of a farmer’s field.

Recovery crews have been called but are having to wait for the ground to harden before trying to recover the car.

If the mud doesn’t subside specialist equipment will be needed to get the car back on the road.

Police are aware of the incident and are carrying out an investigation into the circumstances around the crash.
