Conservative Candidate for Liverpool Regional Mayor, Jade Marsden, has been in Southport this week as part of her campaign, and met with Southport’s MP, Damien Moore, to discuss their priorities for Liverpool City region.
They discussed pressing issues around Southport business, the environment and the £37.5million Town Deal fund.
Damien offered his endorsement of the candidate saying;
“I have known Jade [Marsden] for a number of years and I know how hard she works and how passionate she is about our region. She’s a dedicated activist and has a strong track record of delivering for local people. But most importantly, she has a plan to help our region build back better from this pandemic.
“I would encourage everyone living in Southport and Merseyside to vote Conservative on 06 May – to ensure Merseyside has a strong voice for the next four years.”
Jade had this to say;
“I’ve been on the campaign trail as we approach May 6th, meeting with representatives across the Liverpool City Region. It was fantastic to meet with Damien this week to discuss how we can work together to improve Southport and the wider area, particularly following on from his success with new Town Deal.
It’s an honour to be able to stand for mayor and, if elected in May, I hope to be a strong voice for all of Liverpool City Region and not just those areas in the city centre. I pledge to support growth, campaign for cleaner air and invest in more apprenticeships for young people”
