Calls for more police as phone box smashed up

Firework throwing vandals have smashed up an iconic Southport phone box.

The red telephone box which has been partially turned into a mobile office is smashed to pieces and empty fireworks are seen inside it leading to fears someone tried to set it alight.

Southport Politician Liz Savage said “how sad to see this happen to this iconic phone box.”

Liz has campaigned locally for improved police presence in Southport since she ran for MP.
