4 males arrested after a 3 vehicle collision at Ash Street traffic lights. The 4 made off from car & were located by officers.

Busy Southport junction closed following 3 car RTC

A three car collision has forced the closure of Scarisbrick New Road, Southport this evening (Thursday 14 September 2017).

It’s believed one car fled the scene and is currently being tracked by police.

The accident, which took place at the busy junction of Ash Street and Scarisbrick New Road, happened shortly before 7.30pm this evening.

Police have now closed off the road while an investigation into the incident gets underway.

A recovery firm has also been called to tow away the vehicles involved.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area at all costs or face long delays. Diversions are in place via Virginia Street and Cemetery Road.
