Furious Leicester Street residents say they are taking their lives into their own hands after cars continue to turn the pavement into a makeshift car park.
The corner of Leicester Street and Lord Street has become busier and busier in recent months following the opening of a new bar, tattoo parlour and barbers.
However customers are now parking illegally on the pavement and driving across pedestrianised areas to reach the row of shops.
One man, Gregor Kauschev, who lives on Leicester Street, wrote to OTS to say “ive had to dodge out of the way lots of times to avoid cars which come spinning onto the pavement.
“They pay no attention and don’t even realise they should not be parking there. It is worse when they try and reverse out in the dark and don’t see you walking. We have no choice but to walk behind these dangerous cars.”
